Bell Helmet's Weekend Recap

Monster Energy Supercross – Final Round – Las Vegas, NV – May 06, 2017

Congratulations to Ryan Dungey for his 4th Supercross title.

Now that we said that – what a crazy night of racing! It started out in the 250SX class where Joey Savatgy was only one point out of the points lead, and if he could beat just two riders, Jordan Smith and Zach Osborne, he would be the 250SXE champion. Well, that didn’t go according to plan – not much did Saturday night in Las Vegas.

The racing was, however, incredible and Bell Helmets Moto-9 Flex athletes dominated the 250SX podium. Adam Cianciarulo rode like a man possessed, taking the overall class win. He was followed by recently crowned 250SXW champion Justin Hill. Aaron Plessinger rounded out the podium in 3rd with a come-from-behind performance. Heck – even 4th place finisher Dylan Ferrandis was in a Moto-9 Flex.

Savatgy’s night went from bad to worse. He eventually posted a 14th place finish, taking 3rd in the 250SXE series. Cianciarulo ended up 2nd in the points (who saw that coming?), and Ferrandis finished 5th on the year. Congrats to Zach Osborne for clinching the title with a “clutch” ride.
